Ruomeng Li is a scenic and production designer based in New York City.

She is passionate about bringing stories to life through theatre, opera, dance, as well as painting and sculpture. Each time words rise from the page and take on color and form—evoking joy and sorrow—it deepens her belief that theatre expands our ability to perceive life, to understand others, and to experience the world more fully. She finds inspiration in the details of everyday life and value all we feel, which continually fuels her creative work.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Shanghai Theatre Academy, an MA in Theatre Production and Design from the University of the Arts London, and an MFA in Production Design from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
